State Members for Bendigo, Maree Edwards and Jacinta Allan congratulated the new Bendigo Hospital on the announcement that it is a finalist in the Large Business Category of the 2017 Premier’s Sustainability Awards for incorporating sustainability into all elements of its design, construction and systems.

The Exemplar Health consortium, designers and builders of the new Bendigo Hospital, have demonstrated how Victoria is home not only to leading sustainability thinkers, but everyday people working at a grassroots level who share their skills, knowledge and experience.

The Premier’s Sustainability Awards are Victoria’s highest honour for sustainability, recognising excellence in a wide range of sectors from small to large business, education, community, health, government, environmental protection and the development of innovative products and services.

The winners will be announced at the Premier’s Sustainability Awards ceremony on Thursday 26 October at the Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne.

The ceremony will also announce two overall winners, personally chosen by the Premier of Victoria – the Premier’s Regional Recognition Award and the Premier’s Recognition Award.
